Cyclist safety fears raised in Malaga

Concerns over cyclist safety has been raised, after Polica Local figures have shown a rise in the number of bicycle related accidents in the last year.

The number of reported accidents has doubled over the last five years, due to more people using bikes on their commute rather than the car.

Now over 11,000 people cycle in Malaga every day, with nearly 500 accidents between cyclists and cars or pedestrians being reported. Now calls are being made to improve the safety of crossing points, in an effort to reduce the number of incidents on the local streets.
