British man arrested for drink driving and robbery

A 28-year-old British man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning for attempted robbery, drunk driving and reckless driving.

The man was reported to have covered his face with a black scarf and had threatened an employee of a fast food restaurant with a knife in a hold-up in Playa de las Americas in Tenerife.

The man managed to evade police capture until he crashed his vehicle in San Eugenio, where he was subsequently arrested.
