Inflatable dog dropping stolen from Madrid

A three-meter-high inflatable dog dropping worth €2,400 has been stolen from a street in Madrid.

The inflatable was part of a campaign to raise awareness among pet owners to clean up their pets mess.

However, it now appears that a passer-by has taken the campaign at its word, and removed the giant street furniture.

The campaign is part of a nationwide effort to reduce the problem of dog waste on the streets, with councils enforcing stiff fines for offenders, as well as setting up DNA databases and even posting owners dog mess back to them in the mail.
