1300 sheep run wild through city streets

Approximately 1,300 sheep were left to run wild through the Spanish city of Huesca in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a shepherd fell asleep.

Local Police were alerted to the presence of the giant flock parading through the streets of the north-eastern city at around 4.30am when a local resident dialled Spain’s 112 emergency number.

5 police officers, and the shepherd managed to bring the flock to safety after approximately 2 1/2 hours.
