Embassy reminds people to register to vote for EU referendum

The British Embassy in Spain is reminding people who there is only a few days left to register your vote online for the forthcoming EU referendum.

The deadline for those who wish to register for a postal vote is the 16th May, with those that are wishing to vote via a proxy or at another address able to register their details up to the 7th June.

Postal votes are expected to start arriving before the end of the month. The Embassy has reported that over a 1000 people are registering to vote a day in Spain. Any British citizen who was resident in the UK in the last 15 years is eligible to vote in the upcoming referendum on the 23rd June.
