A Ryanair aeroplane made an emergency landing at the Guacimeta airport in Lanzarote yesterday (Sunday 6th November 2011). The flight
, from Santiago de Compostela, had an expected arrival time of 13:40. It took off late due to problems with the craft and at 18:28, just before the approach to runway the alarm procedure was declared, but eventually the plane landed at 18:53 hours and no intervention was necessary by the emergency services. The flight had 173 passengers and crew on board which went on to disembark normally.
