Young Irish woman dies in Tenerife after balcony fall

A young Irish woman has died while on holiday in Tenerife.

The 21-year-old, who has not yet been named, is understood to be from Cork city.

There are reports – so far unconfirmed – that the woman died after falling from a balcony.

The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it is providing consular assistance.
