Costa del Sol airport smashes records

Malaga-Costa del Sol airport has smashed its record for passenger numbers, after more than 4,000,000 passed through the airport in the first 4 months of the year.

The increase, a 15.3 rise compared to last year, is being seen as a strong indicator of the strength of the local tourism sector.

The best month to date was April, with nearly 1.5 million people travelling to or from the airport on 10,535 flights.
