Spains general strike tomorrow 14th November 2012
Spain is to hold a general strike tomorrow, Wednesday 14th November 2012. There will be manifestations and rallies across the islands.
Gran Canaria
– 11:00 – A demonstration will leave Plaza de las Ranas Triana that will travel to the Government Office. Another group of students will at the same time leave Obelisco and head to the Plaza de la Feria.
– 18:00 – The manifestation will come out of the Plaza de España and head for following streets Mesa y López, Presidente Alvear, Leon y Castillo and finally to the Plaza de la Feria.
Tenerife
– 11:00 – There will be a concentration held at the Subdelegacion del Gobierno.
– 18:00 – There will be a manifestation from the Plazaz de Toros and continue along the Rambla del General Franco, and the Avenida de Anaga to the Plaza de España.
Lanzarote
– 18:30 – The demonstration will leave Calle Real (the old Cabildo) and go to Parque Islas Canarias.
Fuerteventura
– 18:00 – The manifestation will part from teh Subdelegacion del Gobierno and will run through the streets León y Castillo, Avenida Juan Bethencour, León y Castillo and Virgen del Rosario back to the Subdelegacion del Gobierno.
La Palma
– 11:00 – There will be a rally at the Plaza de la Alameda. This will leave Plaza de la Alameda and go along Calle Real, outside the Plaza de la Constitution Avenue to the Subdelegacion del Gobierno.
La Gomera
– 18:00 – The demonstration will start from the Plaza de las Americas.
El Hierro
– 18:00 – The demonstration will start from the Plaza del Cabildo of El Hierro.
