Car sales up in Canary Islands

Car sales in the Canary Islands have risen by 17.6% in January 2010 when compared to the same month in 2009. In total, in the islands, 2.228 vehicles were sold last month. By provinces, Santa Cruz de Tenerife sold 998 cars, a 10,3% increase on January 2009, while Las Palmas increased sales by 24,2%, a total of 1.230 vehicles.
