Alicante-Elche airport set to smash records

Alicante-Elche airport has said that it is on course for another record-breaking year, surpassing the figures from last year.

Passenger numbers have risen over 16% on last year, with 1.14 million passengers passing through the airport in May, bringing the year to date figure to 4.19 million.

Should the numbers carry on in the same fashion, it’s expected that 11.5 million passengers will pass through the regions airport this year.
