Spain knocked from top spot for World’s best restaurants

Gastronomy in Spain has received an upset this week, after the title of worlds best restaurant was passed to an establishment in Italy, rather than Spain.

Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca has lost its crown and been relegated to second place in the newly-released World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, beaten by Italian restaurant Osteria Francescana.

However, it’s not all bad news, as three of the best restaurants are Spanish.
