Man arrested after hit and run death

Guardia Civil have arrested a 39-year-old man from La Esperanza in Tenerife on suspicion of being the driver involved in a hit and run accident that left a retired nurse dead 2 weeks ago.

The 69-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle on the 1st June, and investigations were made to discover the owner of a car that was believed to be involved in the accident.

It’s understood he has been charged with death by reckless driving and not stopping at the scene of an accident.
