Missing bather found clinging to fish cages

A 59-year-old man who was declared missing whilst bathing in the sea in Gran Canaria has been found after clinging to fish farm cages.

The man, who had been swimming in Castillo del Romeral, was swept out to sea last Tuesday evening. A search was launched, and he was found on Wednesday morning.

He was taken to the Insular hospital in Las Palmas, where he was treated for dehydration and hypothermia.
