Game of Thrones inspires new names for Spanish children

A new study has revealed the top names for babies in Spain.

Hugo and Lucia top the list as the most popular names nationally according to the survey by the INE.

Following Lucia in the girl’s names chart were Maria, Martina, Paula, Daniela and Sofia. The most popular boys names included Daniel in second place, followed by Pablo, Alejandro, Alvaro, Adrian, David and Martin.

However some children were named after parents heroes, with Justin, Miley, Aryas and Daenerys making the names list this year.
