Costa Blanca tourism figures rise

Tourism figures for the year to date are suggesting that more visitors than before are coming to the Costa Blanca, and spending more time and money in the region.

New markets in Poland, Italy, Israel and Denmark are being seen as a boost to the area, and golf and nature tourism has seen a surge in visitors from the Netherlands.

140,000 visitors came to the region in the first quarter of the year, spending over €128m in the local economy.
