2 arrested in drugs bust

Guardia Civil officers have arrested 2 people after discovering by accident a major drug operation.

Whilst on patrol, officers discovered the site of a large marijuana plantation in the suburbs of Javea.

The 2 arrested, a 42-year-old Frenchman and a 40-year-old German were charged with drug cultivation, and also with defrauding the electricity supplier after they were discovered to be stealing electricity.
