VIDEO: Hippo goes for walkabout in Spanish town

Motorists in southern Spain were given a massive surprise by a hippopotamus who’d escaped from the circus and plodded over a busy street on Wednesday.

The hippo was the star of several videos posted to social media after it stopped traffic in the southern town of Palos de la Frontera. No one was injured before police and circus staff were able to corral the animal and return it to captivity, local media reported.
