Police injured in Benidorm bouncer attack

Three police officers were injured after trying to arrest a bouncer in Benidorm’s Calle Mallorca – in the heart of the resort’s commonly called Brit Zone.

The officers received a number of injuries including wounds to their heads and some broken bones after door staff reportedly threw bottles at the policemen.

The incident, which was widely shared on social media sites after being recorded on mobile phones, took place outside of the Hippodrome bar.

2 people have been arrested in connection with the assaults.
