Aircraft make emergency landing in Lanzarote

A British Airways aircraft which departed for London Gatwick last week returned to Lanzarote and made an emergency landing 45 minutes later.

Crew detected smoke in the cabin, and the aircraft was evacuated without incident.

Fire crews checked everything and could find no fire or smoke. Passengers were taken to a hotel while the aircraft was examined by technicians.
