Last March coldest in 12 years

Last March was the coldest March in the past 12 years according to figures released by Spanish Met Agency Aemet.

The amount of rainfall was also higher than normal, with the country receiving on average 62 millimetres of rain, an increase of 32% on average.

The lowest temperature recorded across Spain in March was -7.2c, recorded at the Puerto de Navacerrada ski resort near to Madrid.
