Homeless census carried out in Elche

50 homeless people have been identified in the first homeless census to be carried out in Elche.

The project, which has spent the last few months working with those living on the streets in the area, is looking at ways in which they are able to help those who are living rough.

Now a new initiative to release more sleeping space in hostels is underway, meaning that those that need help can now find it.

The city has said it will also restore five social housing projects, across different districts of the city.
