Man found dead on beach in Los Gigantes – Tenerife

A man is reported to have died on the tourist beach of Los Gigantes on the south west coast of Tenerife today (Thursday 4th September 2014).

According to witnesses, the man, whose nationality has not been confirmed yet, was found floating face up in the water at approximately 11:30AM. After being pulled from the water, rescuers attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers.

Shortly afterwards, emergency staff, along with a doctor and a nurse from a health center in the area, determined that the man remained in cardiac arrest and continued to practice advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers but were not able to save his life and could only confirm his death. The cause of death has not been confirmed yet.
