Gran Canaria 2012 carnival dates announced

The dates have been announced for the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria carnival. The dates are between the 3rd to the 21st of February 2012, this is a week less than the normal duration, but organisers are hoping to attract more visitors during the dates. The carnival poster image has also been released. The carnival will have three star galas, which begins with the Carnival Queen election gala on February 3rd, the Drag Queen Gala takes place on February 17th and Grand Gala of Carnival will take place on Monday, 20th February. The festival ends with the traditional Burial of the Sardine.
