Reina Sofia recieves passenger number 200.000.000

Tenerife South Reina Sofía airport received yesterday (Friday 11th June 2010) it’s passenger number 200 million at approximately 11AM. Various representatives of the government and local town halls were on the runway to congratulate a confused traveller from Madrid who knew nothing about the fact that he was the passenger 200.000.000. Carolina Darias, representative of the Canarian Government pointed out the importance of this event as an important date in tourism for the Canary Islands.
