Tenerife airports reopen

The two airports in Tenerife, Reina Sofia (Tenerife South) and Los Rodeos (Tenerife North) have reopened after being closed at 5AM this morning due to the Icelandic volcanic ash forced AENA to close both the airports in Tenerife along with La Gomera and La Palma. All airports except La Palma have now reopened. La Palma airport is due to resume operation at 17:00 today. Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura were not affected allthough they were but on pre-alert. Over 1.400 passengers are now awaiting new flights, of which 124 have been suspended during this event.
