41.979 unsold new properties in the Canaries

The are 41.979 unsold new properties in the Canary Islands, according to recent figures released. 55.6%  of these are in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (23.362) while the remainder are located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (18.617). Comparing to figures from the previous year (2009) Santa Cruz now has 13.5% more unsold properties while Las Palmas has -1.4%. Nationally these figures rise to 688.044 properties that are of new contruction and have not been sold plus 306.922 that are still under contruction.
