Unemployment rises 250% in north of Gran Canaria

Unemployment has risen 250% in the last ten years in the north of Gran Canaria. Of the current 265.534 people unemployed in the Canaries, 16.174 are from the north area of Gran Canaria. On hearing these alarming historically high figures, the mayors of 10 different municipalities have met to discuss possible measures to reduce these figures.
