Canary Islands debt increases by 63%

The debt of the Canary Islands has risen by 63% in the third quarter of 2010 (compared to figures from the same period in 2009) and currently stands at €3.392.000.000. The figures from the Bank of Spain show that since 1995 there has been a continual growth in debt, each year breaking previous records, even though in the last few years there has been a push to stabilise the debt.
