Government promise 1.000.000 extra tourists and 35.000 jobs for 2011

The president of the Canarian government, Paulino Rivero, has announced that he has set an objective to attract over 1.000.000 extra tourists to the islands next year (2011) thus creating the need for between 25.000 and 35.000 additional jobs in the Canaries. This will inject approximately €1.500.000.000 into the economy of the Canary Islands and generate €47.000.000 of IGIC.
