Canaries miss out on ‘Q’ certificate for quality beaches
The Canary Islands, along with Pais Vasco, are the only two autonomous communities in Spain (with coastlines) to miss out on the ‘Q’ quality certificate offered by the ICTE (Instituto de Calidad Turistica). Andalucia and Valencia are the two regions with the most awarded beaches (59 and 48) and the ICTE awarded 13 new Spanish beaches totalling 175 in Spain.
