Jellyfish warning for Marina Alta

A warning has been issued to bathers in the Marina Alta towns after the arrival of jellyfish.

The animals spotted at the moment are only small, and are not expected to pose any risk, however there is a concern that larger and more dangerous fish may soon appear.

Bathers are now being advised to check before bathing, looking for warning signs which feature jellyfish on them, or to look for the word ‘medusa’ which is Spanish for jellyfish.
