Lanzarote Tourist Arrivals Up 30% in July
The number of tourists touching down on flights to Lanzarote really took off during July. According to the Spanish airport authority AENA. Who have just revealed that foreign arrivals on Lanzarote soared by nearly 30% last month, versus July 2009 figures. With British and German tourism in particular enjoying a real upswing.
A total of 146,603 foreign tourists enjoyed a holiday on Lanzarote during July according to AENA. A figure that is up by 29.56% versus the same month lat year. And which is also close to pre-crisis July 2008 levels.
Visitor numbers from Lanzarote´s key market, the UK, rose by 34.41%, with a total of 81,118 tourists. Whilst Germany, the islands second largest market, also retuned positive figures. As arrivals rose by 44% to a total of 25,127 tourists.
Foreign tourist arrivals for the first seven months of the year on Lanzarote have now increased by 6.91% versus the same period in 2009.
