Two arrested for animal cruelty

Two people, aged 44 and 75, have been arrested by Polica National on charges of animal cruelty, after 22 horses and 4 dogs were found to be in a maltreated state.

Many of the animals required emergency treatment, with them all being taken to various rescue shelters across the Costa Del Sol.

The animals, all of which were unlicensed, have since undergone treatment, and all have survived their maltreatment. The two owners will shortly be appearing in a local court.
