Elderly man dies in house fire

An 80-year-old man died on Saturday night in a house fire in La Orotava.

Emergency services say that they were called out to camino Cañeño in the Aguamansa area around 10.30pm with reports of the blaze and that there was thought to be a person inside.

Bomberos put out the fire, which was in a bedroom, where they discovered the remains of the deceased.
