Flights disrupted by drunk passengers

A number of flights to and from Spain have been disrupted this week after drunk passengers caused problems on board.

On Wednesday morning 2 women from Northern Ireland were escorted off the easyJet flight from Belfast to Barcelona.

The pair, part of a group of 14 flying to celebrate a friend birthday, were met upon arrival by Guardia Civil after offensive behaviour and threatening cabin crew.

In an unrelated incident, the Ryanair Liverpool to Alicante flight was diverted to Limoges, in the west of France yesterday after 2 passengers started fighting on board in a drunken brawl.

The men were arrested and appeared in court on charges of endangering the flight.
