Illegal citrus fruit destroyed in China

A shipment of oranges and lemons reportedly from the region sent to China have been destroyed after it was found they had been sent there fraudulently.

The 20 tonnes of fruit was inspected by import officials at Tianjin port, who found documentation that appeared forged.

The fruit, which may not have originally come from Spain, was destroyed and buried, to prevent any risk of infections or pests getting to China.
