Driver questioned after British man dies in Fuerteventura hit and run

Police in Fuerteventura are questioning the driver of a car believed to have been involved in the hit and run death of a Briton on the island late on Wedesday night.

The 41-year-old unnamed Briton died after being hit on the northbound side of the FV2 road, around 500 metres from the airport.

Emergency services from Puerto del Rosario attended to the man just before midnight on Wednesday, however he was declared dead at the scene.

The car belived to be involved in the accident was discovered the next day in Puerto del Rosario.
