Missing British windsurfers body found

The body of a British windsurfer who went missing last Thursday (6th March 2014) has been found off the coast of Arona in the South of Tenerife.

The 64 year old British tourist was reported missing by his wife when he failed to return to lunch from the water on Thursday while windsurfing on the El Medano beach. When she raised the alert, the emergency services have been working to initially find the missing person, which then turned into a rescue operation.

The body was found approximately 8 kilometres south of Punta Rasca and transferred to Los Cristianos by the Alpheratz vessel.
