136 flight cancellations due to Iceland volcanic ash
136 of the 275 programmed flights due to leave the Canary Islands have been cancelled due to the volcanic ash affecting European air traffic. Aena have set up ‘crisis’ desks at the main airports and have made available a local telephone number (+34) 928 579911 to help people with their transport queries. 81 cancellations took place in the province of Tenerife and the remaining 55 in Las Palmas. Nationally, 1.246 flights have been cancelled.
Really good site! I pray this terrible ash cloud will go away. My mum is stuck in Spain and she is running out of cash. I heard the volcanic ash will be staying for at least another month but I don’t know if I should believe it. Does anybody know if it’s really true?
