Gran Canaria eyes Hungarian market

The launch of a new Budapest flight from Gran Canaria has given the tourism authorities on the island the perfect excuse to show the location off to Hungarian tourists.

The local Tourist Board is hosting a visit this week by a number of travel agents, tour operator representatives and travel writers, who are accompanied by Hungary’s ambassador to Spain.

Ryanair launched their new route between Gran Canaria and Budapest recently, and its hoped that the flights will be a boost for the tourism sector on the island.
