Severe disruption follows French air traffic controller strikes

Airlines in Spain have suffered delays and cancellations as French Air Traffic Controllers stage a three day strike.

EasyJet says 32 of its flights due to take off and land at British airports have been cancelled. Flights that are crossing French airspace from Spain are being re-routed to avoid the strikes.

Travellers are advised to contact their airlines to check on the status of their flights. Air traffic controllers are protesting against a cap on recruitment and lack of investment in the systems used by workers.
