Migrant dies after sea crossing

A young African migrant who was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after arriving in Gran Canaria has died in hospital.

The 20-year-old collapsed after being brought ashore with 41 others in Arguineguín harbour on Sunday.

Hospital sources say he was suffering from very severe dehydration and hypothermia. Seven other migrants continue to receive treatment in hospital.
