US Ambassador in Canaries visit

The United States’ Ambassador to Spain is paying his first official visit to the Canaries this week since taking up his post in the autumn of 2013.

James Costos is meeting with political and business leaders during his stay.

He spent the weekend in El Hierro being briefed island’s efforts to become completely self-sustainable in energy terms and to open a new volcano-themed visitors’ centre.
