Paulino Rivero reelected as President of the Canary Islands government
The candidate for CC (Coalicion Canaria), Paulino Rivero, has been reelected president of the Canary Islands government with the support of the 21 votes of the deputies of the coalition between CC-PNC-NCC and the 15 MPs of the PSOE. Rivero’s bid was voted against by the PP. At the investiture debate, which began yesterday in the Canary Islands parliament, Rivero stated his political agenda for the next four years based on ten goals, but said that recovery of the Islands’ economy and job creation will be the main challenges for this term.
