Ryanair announces new weekly Tenerife South – North Ireland service

Ryanair has announced, via its head of marketing and sales for Spain, Luis Fernández-Mellado, that from 19th April 2011 it will operate a new route from Tenerife Souths Reina Sofia airport to Derry in Northern Ireland. This new route will bring Ryanairs flights to 16 operating in the Tenerife airport during 2011. He went on to say that “This will be a notable increase in tourist traffic and a significant growth of tourism in the island of Tenerife”.

Ryanair currently operates seven routes from the Tenerife South airport, with connections between the island and Seville, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Valencia and Zaragoza, among other Spanish cities.

To celebrate the announcement of this new route, Ryanair is offering for sale until midnight tomorrow (25th February 2011) a number of places available for €8 throughout its network.
