Unemployment rises in Spain in October 2010

Unemployment has risen in Spain by 1.7% (68.213 people) giving a National total of 4.085.976 unemployed at the end of October 2010. While it is normal for unemployment to rise in October, this years increase was lower than 2009, when unemployment rose by 98.906 people. Unemployment figures for foreigners in Spain shows that last month (October 2010) there were 19.856 more people unemployed, up 3.4% on figures for September 2010 bringing a total of 593.066 unemployed foreigners resident in Spain.
