17.75% increase in tourism for the Canaries

The Canary Islands received nearly 700.000 foreign tourists during the month of August 2010 which is 105.000 more than the same period for the same month last year (2009). This is the fourth consecutive month that tourism has risen in the Canary Islands. There has been an increase of 306.000 tourists so far this year when compared to the same period in 2009.
