Council ‘moderately optimist’ about summer tourism figures

Jose Manuel Bermudez (Tourism and Commerce, Tenerife Council) said yesterday that he is ‘moderately’ optimist about the fact that there are 600.00 extra air seats available (on 2009 figures) and claimed that 2009 lost 500.000 seats on 2008, the last ‘good’ year that tourism has seen. he has also said that in coversations with the tour operators, sales of holidays in Tenerife for this summer (2010) so far is ‘good’.
