Sports related death in the Canaries

Over the weekend there have been two sports related incidents in the Canary Islands. The first one, in Tenerife, occurred when a 62 year old man died while playing golf at La Caleta, Adeje, Tenerife. The man suffered a heart attack on the green at approximately 9.30 on Sunday the 25/01/2010. A medic on the grounds attended until the medical service arrived who were unable to save his life. The second victim also suffered a heart attack while participating in the 2010 Gran Canaria marathon at approximately 13:00. He is in a critical condition.
